Saftey and Etiquette
1. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guests are responsible for following the saftey procedures outlined in this policy.
- Staff are responsible for ensuring that guests are aware of the saftey procedures and that they are following them.
2. MEDICAL
Use of the sauna and ice baths is at your own risk. We ask that you contact your GP if at all in doubt about safely
using the sauna. If any of the below apply to you (please note, this is not a comprehensice list) we advise you seek
your GP's advice;
- If you're pregnant or suspect you are
- If you've had a heart attached or stroke
- If you're taking any medications
- If you have cardiovascular conditions or problems
- You have epilepsy
- You have asthma or breathing conditions
- High or low blood pressure
- If you have arterial disease
- If you have joint or muscle injury
- You have metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants
- Have any chronic underlying medical condition
- You have any undiagnosed symptoms
By booking a session, you're confirming that you, and everyone in your group, have considered this advice and
those detailed in our safety policy and T&Cs. Just Wellness Limited T/A Wellnest cannot accept responsibility
for customers with the above conditions or in the above situations.
3. BE SAFE AT WELLNEST EXPERIENCE
- Exposure to hot equipment, slippery surfaces casued by water, ice, snow, or other substance, hot temperatures,
airborne illnesses, and contaminants is undertaken at your own risk. - Just Wellness Limited T/A Wellnest takes no responsibility for the damage or loss of customers' property. Please
leave valuables at home. - Do not wear or use any of your own products or lotions inside of the saunas as they may contain ingredients
that can be harmful or slippery. - We reserve the right to refuse entry to guests appear to be under the infulence of alcohol or drugs and no alcohol,
tobacco or vapes are to be used in our vicinity. - Guests should always listen to their bodies and stop using the sauna or ice bath if they feel uncomfortable.
- We regret that children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the sauna or ice baths. Children 16 or older, have
to be accompanied by an adult, with a ratio of two 16+ to one adult. - Anyone using the ice bath is at their own risk. Please ask a member of staff for guidance on cold exposure safety
tips. Or see the information posted around the ice bath.
4. SAUNA / ICE BATH ETIQUETTE
Sauna/ice bath etiquette must be adhered at all times. This includes;
- Please behave in a respectful manner to fellow sauna guests and abide by the rules and
regulations of Just Wellness Limited T/A Wellnest
- Wash feet in the bucket provided before entering the sauna and ice bath.
- Sitting on a towelat all times in the sauna.
- Staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 minutes at a time (we recommend 5-15 min sessions)
- Staying in the ice bath for no longer than 5 minutes at a time (we recommend 1-2 minute sessions)
- We recommend colling down for at least 10 minutes before entering the ice bath.
- Gently pouring water onto the sauna stove; do not dump water
- Only pour the provided 'sauna water' on hot rocks and nothing else
- Getting changed within your booked time slot, if you'd like to use the chaning room.
5. EMERGENCIES
- In the event of a fire, guests should evacuate the area immediately and call 999.
- In the event of a medical emergency, guests should notify staff immediately. Staff will call 999 provide first aid
as needed.
6. SIGNAGE
Signage will be posted in the sauna and ice bath area that reminds guests of the safety procedures.
Frequently asked questions
What Facilities are there at the Wellnest Experience:
- We have a private changing room which also has a toilet and a sink.
- The changing room has space to leave your bag or hang up your coat.
- There is parking directly out the front of the building which you are welcome to use.
- There is bottled water and range of herbal teas that you can help yourself to during your visit.
The Wellnest Experience Suite has a beautifully crafted barrel sauna, with one of our own ice baths (all products can be purchased if you would like your own at home!)
All bookings are for private hire. You have access to the whole suite for 1 hour. Your 1 hour starts from the time you book.
Who can use the Sauna / Ice Bath
- Sauna holds up to 3 people at a time and 1 person at a time in the ice bath
- Children under the age of 16 are not permitted. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- If you are pregnant or have any underlying health problems, please seek advice from your doctor first.
How should I prepare for my sauna/ice bath?
- We ask that you have recently showered before entering the sauna and ice baths.
What should I bring?
To get the most from your session we recommend you bring:
- Swimwear
- Flip flops / sliders to walk between the areas
- TWO towels (one to sit on in the sauna, one to dry yourself)
- Water bottle
- Warm clothes to get changed into afterwards
- For added luxuary you may wish to bring a robe!
The changing room space is limited and can fit 1 person at a time. You may wish to come in your swimwear underneath for a super quick change!
You are very welcome to bring along soft drinks (we supply water and herbal tea for free!) to re-hydrate during your visit.

We are located inside Wellnest in Marsh Barton.
8 Trusham Road, Marsh Barton Trading Estate, EX2 8QH
(we are opposite Market Carpets and Days Rental)
How long are the sessions
The sessions are 1 hour long. The session time starts from the time you book.
For example if you book for your session at 10:00, you have between 10:00 and 11:00 to use the Wellnest Experience Suite.
Please note that your session time includes your changing time, so you will need to be ready to leave the suite at the end of your hour.
You shouldn't be in the sauna or ice bath for the whole session. We recommend sauna sessions for 5-15 minutes with lots of breaks or dips in the ice baths in between. Start with 30 seconds in the ice bath, but we recommend no longer than 2 minutes.
Make sure you arrive 5 minutes beofre your booking time to check in and make full use of your slot.
Food and Drink Policy
It may seem like a fun idea to relax with a glass or wine or beer, but in our experience saunas, ice baths and alcohol don't go well together and can increase the risk of accidents.
We therefore have a strict no-alcohol policy within the Wellnest Experience Suite areas. We also reserve the right to deny entry to any individuals that we deem to be under the influence of drugs ot alcohol without a refund or credit.
You are very welcome to bring along soft drinks (we supply water and hearby tea for free!) to re-hydrate during your visit.
How do I reschedule a session
We appreicate sometimes something unexpected comes up that doesn't allow you to atten your slot. If you want to change to a different date and it is within our cancellation period, please email us at team@wellnest.uk
How do I cancel a session
We understand that plans change unexpectedly. To ensure the smooth operation of our sauna services and accommodate all our clients efficiently, we have implemented the following cancellation policy;
Refunds:
We regret to inform you that we do not offer refunds for cancellations.
Rescheduling:
a. Rescheduling is permitted if notice is provided at least 48 hours before the schedules session.
b. Clients may reschedule their appointment to a new date and time based on availability.
Late Cancellations:
a. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session will not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling (at our discretion we may offer the opportunity to reschedule in the event of special circumstance / unexpected events).
b. Late cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the session without the option for rescheduling or refund.
No Shows:
a. Failure to show up for the scheduled session without prior notice will result in forfeiture of the session without the option for rescheduling or refund.
How to Reschedule:
Clients can reschedule their appointment by contacting us via phone or email at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
Please note that adherence to this cancellation policy helps us maintain the efficiency of our operations and ensures fairness to all our clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
